I'm like Kagome more but I sympathize for Kikyo. It's awful lonely to travel alone and she doesn't even have friend to talk to. It seems to me that Inuyasha stays with Kagome but chases after Kikyo. He came back to Kagome after that though. He is such a dog, why do they have to fall in love with such a dog?

Lol, you should travel long before you die since you are still in good health then. If you wait until you are 70 or 80, you'll move around slow and will not get to see much. Do you like to see nature more than world's wonders? In my opinion, beauty of nature exceeds over human's architecture. I love to go on plane but the food is just too bad.

Do you want to go to India just to ride elephants? You can go to Africa instead. I think the Indians are the most beautiful people in the world since they have Asian, African, and Western traits all together. For Europe, I would like to go to Poland, to see the ghetto. That will worth my time.

May I ask why you chose Japan? Because you are a Japanese or you are too addicted to manga? Things are always idealistic and beautiful in manga but it's impractical. I think you should open your mind to other countries too. You never know until you try. There are always things which are waiting for people to discover them and you may find them much more interesting than Japan (not that I want to go against Japan). Right now China and Japan are quite well-known and other countries are buried under these fameful countries. And anyway, don't look at things through movies and anime, you only get the side you want to see.

Here's mine (I found it on the net actually): Cowbirds are the laziest bird of all. So lazy that the female cowbird does not raise her own young, cowbirds refuse to build their own nests, incubate their own eggs or even raise their own young. Instead, they remove the eggs of other birds and replace the eggs with their own. About 144 bird species raised baby cowbirds in their nests. However the American Goldfinch parents feed thistle seed to their young and those seed don't provide enough nutrition to cowbird babies. As a result, the cowbird babies die from starvation.

Cowbirds are impractical at raising their young because they have to follow the herbs of bison for many miles to find insects. Therefore, they don't have time to raise their own babies.

Poor your brother. Well, I don't speak completely as well and my grammar is not correct too, except when writing or typing. It takes me a long time to explain to someone what I'm trying to say and I usually end up giving up because people would get confused if I tried to explain to them. One question...does your brother have autism innately? Is there a time your brother made himself clear enough for you to totally understand what he was feeling? I knew a lot of people like that and they are usually treated as disables and they don't have any friend. I feel sad for them.

I discovered that the guy living near my house is a homo. But that doesn't make me feel differently. It doesn't concern me that he is gay or not, as long as he is a human being which has a mind and emotion. I don't know why others discriminate gay so much. I feel sad for them. They must have hardship getting along with life when they are considered different from other people.

I agree that living among the gloomy people make your life seems like hell. I am surrounded by gloomy people myself. My parents are gloomy after a tired day of work. My friends are gloomy because there's not a single fun thing they can say to me because their life is just another gloomy life like me. I felt too depressed. Well, at least the teachers are nice but their niceness is not truthful. "Sign" the world is a sorry place.

May I ask, is there a rule that said one has a specific amount of time in a thread? What I mean is I have created a thread and it is silent lately and I wondered if I need to turn off that thread and open a new topic. Will minitokyo delete thread which is dormant for a long time?

Another question is by what action one does when one revives an old thread? I don't quite understand what is an "old" thread. If I give my comment to a person who posted a picture long time ago or who had a long-time topic, is it considered as reviving old thread?

yep I'm also surprised that many foreign people know how to speak English, especially in China. My friend came from China and she said that her friends and her aunt speak even more fluently than her. My friend speaks English with no fault, although she came to the US just a month before me.

Just wonder...my thread recently seemed so quiet. No one made any visit anymore, I'm so sad.

Now I can agree with you. I don't like those people of course. I think that every language is an art and it's worthy to try to speak them. You can discover how good (or bad) you are at them and it's fun to speak foreign languages too.

I can speak 3 languages (2 that I'm best at and 1 I still have to practice). I also know some of the words of Chinese (especially), Japanese, Korean, German, Italian, Russian, Indian...and others but I don't remember.
Please be slight on the travelers Mnemeth. When you are so attached to your born language, you can't help but speaking your own language. Imagine you are going to Spain and you don't know Spanish well. You can't speak everything in Spanish, it will take an awfully long time. But one who respects the country they are visiting will speak that country's language. I love it when foreigners speak my country's language since people rarely speak it.

Credit card is very convenient but I'm not sure Asian countries use it a lot. Japan and India may use it but i'm not sure about the rest. Of course if I have instant transmission, I will go to every country like you do, everyone wish that. But some wish to go out of space if they have instant transmission.

But since my time in a country is limited so I will have to go places to gather information, not just sitting in one place and knowing only one place. Although I don't mind to do that. Ah! Here is an enthusiastic person for traveling. I agree to all you said, ealpha-scorpio. And your friends will not belonged to this world if they are unwilling to open their mind to the world. I know people like that and it's truly a disappointment for me. I wonder if they have passion about anything at all, how can they not feel curious when talking about other countries. And there are people who feel curious about Asians due to watching too much Asian Hollywood movies that they created in themselves unrealistic version of Asians.
I like Egypt too, why don't I think about that before? But if I travel, I'll travel to unknown countries since no one knows them. I realize that people usually follow a popular trend and only go to famous places. Why don't they go in the opposite direction of the trend and discover unfamous places. I feel pity for those unfamous countries, being buried under the fame of others. You will be surprised of what you can discover in those no-name countries.

You can't blame that on the United States. Most European countries are small while the United States is big. Closeness has its own advantage and disadvantage. Maybe if you live in Europe then you'll complain how crowded it is and wish it to be like the United States.
If people rob you (when you are overseas), they will not understand what you say and will rob you anyway. Even if you do explain it to them, they will take away your money. US currency has large amount if being converted to currencies of other countries. Last month, I read a man kills an old woman just for $50 (not dollar but something like that). What a wise choice. When people are drived into poverty, they can do anything.

You're right. The language barrier is hard. But I myself know 3 languages and know some of the words of Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Russian, Italian, French, and German so I don't think it's that hard when you have determination. Traveling is one of my biggest dreams so I guess I will learn the language of the country I want to go to.
About the discrimination, you can't help it. And you are right about the gender disequality in Asian countries. Female status is not very good, in fact, very low compare to men especially in poor countries. If they know you live in America, they'll imagine that you have a lot of money so they will rob you. You seem thinking about all the aspects of your trip huh? Except the job, I think I manage all others well. If I can't find jobs in those countries, then I will come back and earn enough to travel (I must be homeless if I do that).

There are people who don't have money but they still have the opportunities to travel. In my opinion, I think you should earn money while traveling (although it doesn't sound like a good plan but it works). And what do you mean by Asian and American as well?
